๐ŸŒค๏ธ About Climate Lens

This site publishes independent science journalism on carbon cycle, climate feedbacks, extreme weather, sea level rise, climate data. Every article is written by a credentialed researcher and draws on peer-reviewed literature, primary scientific sources, and expert institutional data. Our mission is to make rigorous science accessible, accurate, and engaging for a global readership.

โœ๏ธ About the Author

Dr. Kwame Mensah โ€” PhD Atmospheric Science, University of Ghana

Dr. Kwame Mensah is an atmospheric scientist and climate researcher specialising in tropical atmospheric dynamics, the global carbon cycle, and the communication of climate science to non-specialist audiences. He completed his PhD at the University of Ghana's Department of Physics in 2012 and has conducted research in collaboration with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), NASA's Earth Science Division, the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO), and the IPCC Working Group I. Dr. Mensah has led field campaigns measuring greenhouse gas fluxes from West African tropical forests, savannas, and agricultural landscapes, and has contributed to national climate assessment reports for Ghana and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). His published research spans tropical carbon cycling, climate feedback mechanisms, and the science of extreme weather events. He is a strong advocate for African voices in global climate science communication. Climate Lens was established in 2023 to provide rigorous, evidence-based climate science journalism.

๐Ÿ“ Editorial Standards

Every article published on this site is based on peer-reviewed scientific literature, data from recognised research institutions (IPCC, NOAA, IUCN, NASA, WWF, WCS, and others), and the author's own research experience. We do not publish opinion, speculation, or content that has not been verified against primary scientific sources.

When scientific findings are contested or uncertain, we represent that uncertainty clearly and cite the range of current expert opinion. Corrections to published articles are made promptly and transparently.
